Tour Itinerary – Leh Ladakh

The rugged land of Leh Ladakh offers an awe-inspiring journey through barren landscapes, ancient monasteries, crystal-clear lakes, and some of the highest motorable roads in the world. A land like no other, Leh Ladakh is a paradise for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and adventure seekers alike. Get ready for a soul-stirring experience amidst the mighty Himalayas.

Day 1: Arrival at Leh (Altitude Acclimatization Day)

Arrive at Leh Airport on your own by Air. Our representative will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. Due to high altitude, rest is recommended for the day to acclimatize to the low oxygen levels. In the evening, if health permits, take a stroll in the Leh Market, explore Leh Palace, and visit the Shanti Stupa for panoramic views. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 2: Leh – Sham Valley Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to the Sham Valley. Visit the mysterious Magnetic Hill, the sacred Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and witness the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers at Sangam Point. Later, visit Spituk Monastery and the Hall of Fame, a museum maintained by the Indian Army. Return to Leh in the evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La (160 KM / 5-6 hrs)

Today after breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft) – one of the world’s highest motorable roads. On arrival in Nubra, check in to the camp/hotel. Visit Diskit Monastery and see the tall Maitreya Buddha Statue. Later, head to Hunder Sand Dunes for a camel ride (double-humped Bactrian camels). Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra Valley – Turtuk (Optional) – Back to Nubra

(Optional Day Trip): After breakfast, visit Turtuk, the last Indian village before the Pakistan border. Turtuk is a quaint Balti village known for its unique culture and scenic beauty. Return to Nubra by evening. Overnight stay in Nubra. If you wish to skip Turtuk, you can spend the day exploring local Nubra villages or relaxing at the campsite.

Day 5: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok Route (6-7 hrs)

After an early breakfast, proceed to the world-famous Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok Route. Witness the magical hues of Pangong Tso, one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world, which changes colors from blue to green to turquoise. Spend the evening by the lake. Overnight stay in camps near Pangong Lake.

Day 6: Pangong Lake – Leh via Chang La Pass

Wake up to a serene sunrise over the lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft), the third highest motorable road in the world. En route, visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. On arrival in Leh, check into the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 7: Leisure Day in Leh – Explore Local Life

After breakfast, enjoy a leisure day in Leh to explore local culture, shopping, or try Ladakhi cuisine. You can visit Stok Palace Museum, interact with locals, or shop for souvenirs, Pashmina shawls, prayer flags, and Tibetan jewelry in the Leh market. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 8: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey with beautiful memories of the land of high passes.

  • Meals - Morning tea/coffee, breakfast, dinner, and 1L water bottle per day.
